Jennifer Lawrence face-palming Emma Watson basically breaks internet

Angelina Jolie ‘hopped up on drugs’ video released

In a recent video released by The National Enquirer, we see a very young Angelina Jolie pacing back and fort while talking on the phone, obviously high on something.

Convicted drug dealer Franklin Meyer claims he shot the 16-minute footage with Jolie’s consent in 1999 after she called him over to her Manhattan apartment, apparently to resupply her with heroin and cocaine.

Jolie has since described it as a very ‘dark’ and ‘dangerous’ period of her life.

Meyer told the Enquirer: ‘Angie was a client of mine for several years. I sold her heroin and cocaine. One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs.’

Rita Ora for Roberto Cavalli

Landing the coveted Fall/Winter 2014 campaign for Roberto Cavalli, the singer channels Marilyn Monroe in the preview image – posted by the Italian brand’s Facebook page.  Already appearing in ad campaigns for Rimmel, Material Girl and DKNY, this star is certainly becoming a prominent figure in the world of fashion and beauty. We just love the ad.

Karl Lagerfeld does maternity wedding couture

In a surprising move, Karl Lagerfeld ended the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2014 Couture Show in Paris yesterday with a pregnant bride.

Held in the Grand Palais, stripped down to the bare essentials of white walls and one Snow White-esque mirror, the show featured structured cape dresses, emblazoned with rich gold trim and brocade detail.

Kendall Jenner made her appearance on the runway, stepping out in a feathered look with ribbon-tie sandals (for winter?!), looking like a true Chanel girl.

Kristen Stewart surprised guests as she showed up with a new cropped do. Known for her dressed-down look, the current face of the brand’s Dallas collection sat in the front row, seemingly uninterested.

Jennifer Lawrence face-palming Emma Watson

Jennifer Lawrence and pal Emma Watson were seen at Paris Couture Fashion Week’s Dior show recently. The two stars posed together for photos, when always kooky Lawrence unexpectedly face-palmed poor Emma Watson. The photo immediately went viral, naturally, as Emma looked rather embarrassed.

In other Emma Watson news … she has a new title – United Nations Women Goodwill Ambassador. Tweeting yesterday, she said: ‘So excited to start work with the AMAZING people at UN Women! … Going to be working for the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (!!!).’

Mamphela Ramphele leaves politics

The Agang SA leader, who infamously joined the DA earlier this year for a whole day, has decided to leave party politics altogether and return to civil society ‘to pursue the idealism that has driven’ her.

Mamphela Ramphele announced the move yesterday, saying:

‘I have decided to leave party politics and return to working alongside my fellow citizens in civil society to pursue the dream of transforming ours into a more just and prosperous society. I will therefore be leaving party politics, having accomplished my aim of creating a political vehicle to enable those who remain outside the political mainstream to have a voice. As to my future contribution, as the months have passed by after the election in May, I have become increasingly convinced that my experience and knowledge is best utilised to help build an empowered and aware citizenry. I return to civil society to continue to pursue the idealism that has driven me all my life as an active citizen. I remain convinced that working more intensely with young people and women, who are the majority populations, will yield the best outcomes for our beloved country.’

What do you think of her decision?
